MISSION STATEMENT
The Business Empowerment Ministry of Convent Avenue Baptist Church is the place of balance and abundance, God gives bread, we give praise. Our mission is to provide resources for business owners and potential business owners here at Convent and the community by providing free workshops, seminars and support. We encourage a lifestyle of abundance and balance spiritually, physically, mentally and socially.

Ecclesiastes 2:24
''There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God."

PURPOSE
The purpose of the Business Empowerment Ministry is to provide to the Convent Avenue Baptist Church family and community a pool of resources and information concerning business empowerment and economic development.

GOALS
To provide to the C.A.B.C. family and the community:
• A clearinghouse of data and information on business empowerment and economic development.
• A directory of entrepreneurs and business owners.
• Networking and support opportunities.
• Seminars and training on business development and economic empowerment.

BUSINESS EMPOWERMENT OBJECTIVES
• To provide a business directory for our church and community.
• To sponsor a business expo.
• To sponsor an annual business conference.
• To provide a consultant data bank service.
• To sponsor monthly business seminars.
• To support our church and community ministries and programs.
• To encourage our youth to explore and consider entrepreneurial opportunities.

Habakkuk 2:2-4
"And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith."

God wants us to be empowered so that we can become stewards of his world!
